Conditions and their managment
Compass Kids Clinic is a branch of Compass Immunology Clinics, and this represents Queensland’s largest private medical specialist clinic dedicated to treating allergic and immunologic disorders. Since our establishment in 2002, we have grown into a multidisciplinary clinic, offering comprehensive services including treatments not offered elsewhere. We remain a family owned and managed business. With locations Greenslopes, Grange, Upper Mount Gravatt, and Toowoomba, our expert clinicians are here to provide specialized diagnosis and management for allergies, autoimmune disorders, and immune deficiencies. Your child's health is our priority.

Eczema Care
Eczema management is an essential aspect of managing children with allergic disease. We are highly skilled in providing tailored therapy with options to escalate as required. The correct care of eczema can reduce the progression and severity of allergic diseases, including food allergies and asthma.

Food allergy diagnosis and management
We have extensive expertise in the accurate diagnosis and management of food allergies. We perform skin prick testing on children (from 6 months of age) and offer food challenges to clarify allergies when needed. If you think your child has a food allergy, it is extremely important to see a clinic that can investigate with formal oral food challenges if needed.

Peanut OIT (desensitization)
Our clinic is one of the few private clinics offering peanut desensitization. Our successful program started in 2018 and continues with selected children aged 8 years or younger. It is always best to begin peanut OIT as young as possible to provide a smoother path.
If you would like to learn more about our program, please see our peanut OIT page.

Allergic rhinitis
We can help you understand the triggers for your child's allergic rhinitis (hayfever) and how to intervene. Treatments include nasal sprays, oral medications and desensitization therapies.

Immunotherapy injections
Immunotherapy is a process of training your immune system to increase tolerance. This is an effective treatment for environmental allergies (dust mite, grass pollen and animal danders). Venom allergies (bee, wasp) can also be treated in a similar way.

Dupixent injections
Dupixent is PBS listed for children over 12 years of age with severe eczema. For younger children, the medication can be offered privately.

Chronic Urticaria
Not all chronic urticaria is due to specific allergy. It can arise from alterations to your immune system's response to various other stressors. We will help navigate a clearer diagnosis and provide solutions for treatments depending on severity.
Other biologic drug injections
Biologic medications are drugs that target specific parts of your immune system to treat disease. These innovative therapies are evolving the care for asthma, nasal polyps, severe eczema, chronic urticaria, and food allergies.
Autoimmune disease and immunodeficiencies
Our Paediatric Immunologists investigate and treat recurrent infections, autoimmune conditions, autoinflammatory conditions including periodic fever syndromes, and inborn errors of immunity/immunodeficiency
